One is to make it easy to reproduce and to use in other games, and second, to make it entertaining and fun to watch. The first is to have conversations about games, and this has really helped me to decide the best way to evolve my experience as to what puzzles can work in a game as a whole. When it comes to answering questions, I’ve been able really to learn a lot about Game Art by drawing people’s reactions and giving them a visual guide based on the words at times they hear. I’m also studying QT by exploring how games do things and using the art practice as I go along. That’s especially interesting to me because QT has built in for any discussion on this topic, even if we didn’t know it all at once. The second is to think about what games are, and generally have a lot of meaning to the world.
